The 2003 996 PORSCHE GT3 RS MK2 is a second generation of the lightweight variant to the original 996 car developed by Pinky Lai under Porsche design chief Harm Lagaay. The GT3 RS was far more track-focused than the GT3 and featured a polycarbonate rear window, carbon fibre hood and rear wing apart from engine mods, suspension and brake upgrades which resulted in the cars being a whole 3mm lower. Only 140 right hand drive cars were ever built for which automobile magazines claim it could accelerate from 0-97 km/h (60 mph) in about 4.3 seconds topping out at around 306 km/h (190 mph). Interestingly it completed a lap of the Nürburgring in 7:43 which was 4 seconds faster than the 996 GT2! (drawn 3Jun'20)
