The 2002 K1 Attack was produced by the Slovakian company K-1 Engineering under the watchful eye of engineer Dick Kvetnansky and designer Juraj Mitra. Development began completely by hand in 1999 with a vision specifically for racing, but after massive public interest in the aggressive aesthetic, a road car was made available as a kit using various models of the Honda car.
One common configuration uses a 250 bhp Honda Civic Type R 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine producing a 0-60mph in around 5.5sec, but other versions can improve this to under 4sec!
The benefit of a light-weight fibre-glass body paired with a nice, powerful engine could provide exhilarating performance at a reasonable price. Most examples seem to have landed in the US. B-racing Ltd. continues to build these cars today, with new generations introduced after K1-Engineering halted their production in 2009. (drawn 23 March'26)
